I had another ultrasound today and the babies are still growing!
Baby A is 1lb 7 oz! She’s still 4 weeks behind but she’s still growing steadily and that’s what counts. And her blood flow in her cord is better–it’s still not that good–but it’s improving. This is the most encouraging news to me! Also, her cord is wrapped around her neck only once, which is also good news. The doctor explained that the longer she stays in her cord will get thicker and stronger which may improve her blood flow as well. I also think that my being on bedrest helps keep my blood pressure down, which helps her blood flow, too. Grow baby, grow!
And baby B is only 9 days behind and is a whopping 2lbs 7 oz. She’s got tons of room to move around is doing great!
We think we made the right decision to keep them in and hope to keep them in as long as possible. Baby A might not be a “take home” baby, but I am very hopeful that she’ll be okay in the long run.
